Kochhaus Munich – delicious dishes to cook yourself

Home-cooked vietnamese Pho Ga, or salmon in turmeric ginger butter conjured up in your own apartment kitchen? This works quite simply, with a cooking box from the Kochhaus in Munich. The tasty alternative to delivery services.

The Kochhaus is the first walk-in recipe book. With a lot of love for fresh ingredients, extraordinary recipes and simple cooking, the Kochhaus is dedicated to the most beautiful things in the world, good food. The recipes are offered with a recipe flyer, the required and ideally portioned ingredients, lovingly arranged, in the Kochhaus branches. The Kochhaus concept is now already represented in several cities in Germany and offers a selection of 18 different, weekly changing dishes, very easy to recook. The best thing about it: the recipes in form of cooking boxes can easily be delivered to your apartment.

The cooking boxes

The delicious cooking boxes can be selected online from the 18 different dishes and ordered on the desired delivery day. A cooking box contains the required ingredients and the recipe flyer. With the clearly arranged and lovingly designed instructions and the fresh ingredients, everyone can create an extraordinary, delicious and fresh home-cooked meal. Step by step, with professional cooking tricks, a good meal can be prepared quickly and easily. For every taste, time of day, sweet or salty, the Kochhaus offers the right recipe to spoil. The preparation time varies between 15 – 45 minutes, depending on the size of the selected dish. So connoisseurs become culinary explorers and beginners become professionals.

Benefit for our guests

For our guests we have a small gift. If you stay at TIMEHOUSE, you will receive a discount of 10€ on the first two deliveries of a cooking box. Simply register and use your voucher. You can also add other Kochhaus products to your box at the normal price.

Culinary shopping opportunities in Munich

An important point for us and our guests at TIMEHOUSE is the central location and the proximity to many different shopping possibilities. Therefore we have compiled some recommendations for markets and supermarkets in the area.

Food and daily necessities

In the district named ‘Schwabing’, you can stroll wonderfully and walk through the wide streets. There are plenty of shopping possibilities near the TIMEHOUSE. For example, you can rely on the Feneberg supermarket in the street Leopoldstraße 182 (only 3 minutes far from the TIMEHOUSE). Feneberg sells and produces its own brands, mainly organic and bakery products.

Also various discounters and drugstores are only a few minutes walk away from us. Basically these shops are open from 07:00 am to 08:00 pm from Monday to Saturday and offer almost everything for your daily needs.

Daily and weekly markets

More than 40 weekly markets and farmers’ markets are spread all over the city area around Munich and more than 120 traders from various food sectors supply their guests with fresh products. The Schwabing weekly market at Münchner Freiheit opens its doors every Thursday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and offers its visitors everything from flowers & plants, fish, meat & poultry to snack stands.

The most famous market in Munich is the Viktualienmarkt, which is open daily until Sunday and offers fruit, vegetables, bread and bakery products as well as specialities such as oysters, the best pretzels at Karnoll’s and Bavarian sparkling wine in the Nymphenburg Café. A highlight in summer! Take a pocket knife, buy something to savour at the market and round it off with a beer in the central beer garden. An experience for the senses. Just like the Elisabethmarkt, to be found at Elisabethlatz 4b. Workshops on various topics are also held here every last Tuesday of the month. Participation is free of charge.
