The three most beautiful parts of Munich for the cold season
Thick snowflakes trickle quietly onto the christmassy decorated roofs of Munich, you cuddle up tighter in your winter coat and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the city. Haidhausen
The district really has a lot to offer. The romantic Wiener Platz with its cosy Christkindlmarket is particularly beautiful. You can then continue your walk to Weißenburger Platz and admire the decorated “Hexenhäuschen”. But not without stopping at the KaffeeKüche. Nymphenburg
The former summer residence of Empress Sissi, Nymphenburg Castle, invites you to take a stroll in winter. Winter sports enthusiasts in particular have the opportunity to ice skate on the castle canal. In Nymphenburg you can watch the hustle and bustle and then warm up with a cup of hot chocolate in the glamorous Schlosscafé Nymphenburg.
Isar
A walk along the Isar, over the many bridges up to the gardener’s square is always worth a visit. A large selection of hot chocolates is available at the traditional Trachtenvogl café in Reichenbachstraße. The trendy cultural quarter with its many small shops invites you to stroll and the older house facades offer a wonderful view in the snow.
